According to the legend, the violet-blue tanzanite stone was born when a bolt of lightning sparked a wildfire amidst the vast plains of Tanzania, Africa, near Mount Kilimanjaro. This lightning bolt is said to have transformed the stones at the foot of the mountain into the precious tanzanite gem. This vibrant stone later took its name from Tanzania, the only place in the world where it is found. Fascinated by this ancestral legacy in which raw nature fuses with extraordinary colors, Giorgio Armani takes inspiration from this African jewel for two new Armani/Privé Haute Couture fragrances.

MAGENTA TANZANITE reinterprets the tanzanite stone in a magenta hue, to conjure the atmosphere of the savannah at dawn, and to capture this moment of serenity suspended in time, against the backdrop of a wild, natural environment.

The fragrance opens with invigorating top notes of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon, creating a fresh and spicy effect, as a metaphor for a saturated, intense sun. Then the textured scent warms up thanks to the coffee, the spicy cinnamon, and the sensual myrrh from Namibia. At the base, the tobacco absolute and the vanilla extract Bourbon Premium create a voluptuous, honeyed, and woody trail. The vanilla is sustainably sourced from the mountainous Loky Manambato region of Madagascar. Its production is part of an inclusive sourcing program in collaboration with local NGO Fanamby, prioritizing suppliers who provide reliable work and income for vulnerable people, and diversifying revenues to improve local livelihoods, while supporting producers and encouraging local entrepreneurship.

INDIGO TANZANITE and MAGENTA TANZANITE are presented in the iconic and utterly distinctive Armani/Privé squared bottle. Conveying two captivating facets of Africa, the flacons echo the appearance of the natural tanzanite they are inspired by, as if they are carved in the mythical stone. MAGENTA TANZANITE is hued in deep pink tones, as an imaginary interpretation. With a gold accent at their neck, the bottles are topped by the signature Armani/Privé smooth, organic shaped cap, and adorned with elegantly engraved golden plaques.
