FROM CHEMISTRY TO PERFUMERY
Cécile first studied chemistry before joining ISIPCA, where she built a strong foundation in perfumery. In 2017, she entered MANE's internal perfumery school and completed an intensive three-year training program that shaped both her technical expertise and her creative identity. During this period, she also had the opportunity to work in Shanghai, an experience that opened her perspective to new cultures and olfactive approaches.
A JOURNEY SHAPED BY CULTURES
In 2021, Cécile moved to Medellín, Colombia, where she opened the perfumer position for MANE and worked across the entire Latin American market for five years. This chapter became a deeply transformative period in both her personal and professional journey. Beyond the culture itself, she was touched by the people. Their warmth, energy, generosity and way of embracing life left a lasting impression on her. The region's intensity expressed through its music, colors, atmosphere and scents resonated deeply with her and continues to influence her creative vision.
In 2025, she joined MANE Dubai as a Fine Fragrance Perfumer. Another major transition in her journey, it reflected her willingness to embrace change and continuously evolve. Fluent in French, Spanish and English, she continues to build connections across cultures and continents.
HER INSPIRATIONS: FREEDOM, INTENSITY & EMOTION
For Cécile, inspiration comes from freedom, intensity and emotion. The ocean has always played an essential role in her life, a place where she feels grounded and reconnects with herself. This connection naturally led her to a life driven by movement and sensation. Diving, wakeboarding and kitesurfing are not simply hobbies, but extensions of who she is. Even today, she seeks out islands and remote destinations where she can disconnect from everything and return to what feels essential.
Travel also plays a central role in her creative process. From Polynesia and Shanghai to Latin America and now Dubai, each place has enriched her vision through new cultures, experiences and human connections. Constantly driven by curiosity, she believes inspiration can be found everywhere in a journey, a landscape, a conversation, a taste or a fleeting moment. Everything has the potential to become a starting point.
Beyond travel, Cécile finds inspiration in unexpected places. She has always been fascinated by classical ballet, whose discipline, elegance and precision strongly resonate with perfumery. Like dance, fragrance creation is a balance between structure and instinct, rigor and emotion. This balance is reflected in her attraction to fragrances that create emotion and leave a lasting impression.
She is particularly drawn to the addictive power of a fragrance and the invisible tension that invites you back, again and again. The richness of natural raw materials their textures, depth and evolving facets offers an endless field of exploration. Tonka bean stands out among her favorite raw materials for the warmth, sensuality and velvety texture it brings to her compositions. Above all, she seeks to infuse emotion into each creation, translating the intangible into something deeply felt and memorable.
SHAPED BY POLYNESIA
Born in the South of France, shaped by Polynesia. Part of Cécile Muller's childhood was spent in French Polynesia, a place that shaped her deeply. Growing up surrounded by the ocean created a lasting emotional connection that remains at the heart of who she is today. More than a source of inspiration, the sea is where she feels grounded and most connected to herself. Her passion for scent began early as a child, creating flower infusions for her grandmother under the summer sun, unaware these playful moments would one day shape her future. Among her strongest olfactive memories, frangipani remains her favorite scent, instantly transporting her back to Polynesia and the softness of that life. She is drawn to its velvety texture, almost like peach skin, and its watery, green and solar facets that make it both delicate and vibrant.
